Details of the Scott Gambler 910

With HMX carbon fiber, SCOTT has made significant advancements to the already high quality carbon fiber HMF used in the bike industry. HMX is the fiber used by SCOTT that has over 20% more stiffness than an HMF fiber of the same weight class. This unique material allows SCOTT engineers to develop super lightweight wheels with excellent riding characteristics.

The Virtual 4-Link design combines balance and control. Cadence and braking are improved, ensuring the suspension system can operate at maximum efficiency. The kinematic suspension curve compensates for small bumps to provide excellent traction, plus perfect mid-travel support and controlled low travel for predictable compression and more comfort.

Furthermore, the 29 inch wheels improve the rolling behaviour. The large wheels make it easier to ride on difficult surfaces like roots or rocks. Another important aspect is the higher traction compared to 26″ wheels due to the larger tire contact area.

If required, this model can be converted from 29″ to 27.5″ wheels. You don’t need to change the fork, all YOU need to do is make a small adjustment to the shock, change the wheels and off you go. The shock adjustment ensures a similar bottom bracket height when changing the wheel, so the handling remains almost identical for both wheel sizes.
