When it comes to trail riding, many riders want a bike that can conquer the climbs and the descents. Trail bikes can get you through the rough terrain while also remaining quick on the climbs. The Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt Carbon 50 Bike is quick and nimble with 27.5″ wheels and 140mm of travel on the front and the rear. The carbon frame is lightweight and highly durable and comes with Rocky Mountain’s RIDE-9 adjustment system so you can further adjust geometry and ride characteristics to your liking. The frame features 2 lower ISCG05 tabs, has tire clearance for up to 2.5″ tires, and has internal cable routing.

The Carbon 50 version of the Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt comes with a Shimano SLX/XT 1×12-speed drivetrain that includes a cassette that has a hill-crushing 10-51T gear range that makes climbing and riding in rough terrain much easier. The Shimano SLX hydraulic disc brakes provide excellent stopping power so you can descend with confidence and control. WTB ST Light i30 rims are paired with Maxxis Minion tires that can be set up tubeless for a smoother ride, better traction, and fewer flats. With the Race Face Aeffect R dropper post, you’ll be able to quickly lift and lower your saddle without the need for dismounting. This makes it so you can climb with a full leg extension, and then descend with a lower center of gravity.
